How to face interview

This post is for people who are facing the interview tension.

It is common that people feel tensed up and bit nervous when facing interview the reason being for this is because we might not know how the interviewer will be or will look at us, or how pleasing they be. It is important that we must provide the best first impression.
When i say about the first impression there are few things which we must do before attending an interview which will help to create a good impression. The most importantly is how we dress ourselves for the interview. There are proper dress code for an interview and the dress should be clean and pressed properly (avoid wearing wrinkled clothes to interview). Try wearing formals to interview and formal shoes.

Be punctual or arrive 15 minutes to venue before the appointed interview time as this gives a good impression about yourself to the interviewer. Always have a fresh mints such as mentos or any type of mints before the interview as this prevents from bad odor while speaking (try not to eat mint during the interview this will definitely create a bad impression about you to the interviewer).

Be confident about yourself and never think about the language. I have seen few people (when I have interviewed people at work) who were afraid about their English Language during interview. There are ways in which people can improve their English Language. When you think abou the language it gives you more pressure than what you are already in. The language can be improved by reading newspaper, books, watching english movies and often communicating in english language with others. Please do not think that people will laugh at you when you speak broken english, it is the first step in learning a language. As the great saying goes "Mistake makes a man perfect". If you are not sure about how to give an answer try answering them with an example.

During the first round of interview, the interviewer looks how confident you are and how you present yourself. The questions asked during the first round of interview are icebreakers, for instance when the interviewer asks you to describe about yourself, it is to make you comfortable and feel at ease. These types of questions are generally asked everywhere.
During the second round of interview the interviewer asks you questions based on the position which you are applying for (This is generally practiced to access your knowledge about the position and the company for which you are applying for). Try reading about the company before attending the interview as this helps you to understand about the company and what they are into and who is their CEO, MD and etc. The final round of interview will be with the department head.
Usually there are two or three rounds of interviews at some places during the second round of interview you will be having the technical questions asked by the department head of the position for which you are applying for or it will be with another HR. During the final round of interview, your salary will be discussed and they will brief you about the roles and responsibilities about your position and other stuffs (because different organization performs or operates differently).

Thanks for reading the post and please feel free to give comments which will help others who are reading the post.
